Privacy policy

Minetecture is a private workspace for improving Minecraft builds with AI. It is run by Schicksal Technology LLC, a Michigan limited liability company (“we”). This policy says what we collect, why, who helps us run the service, and what you can ask us to do with your data. Write to support@minetecture.app with any question.
What we collect
- Your account: your email address, your name if you add one, a hash of your password if you set one (never the password itself), and whether you confirmed your email. If you sign in with Google: the name, email address and profile picture link Google shares with us, and the sign-in tokens it gives us.
- Sign-in sessions: a session cookie, and with each session the IP address and browser it was started from, so you stay signed in and we can spot misuse.
- What you make: the schematics you upload and their saved versions, the marks and notes you leave in a build, your messages to the AI builders, the pictures you upload or snap, and the designs the builders return. In a build you share, the notes and ideas the people you share it with add, with who added them.
- Sharing: the email addresses you add to a build, so those people can join it, the role you give each (viewer, commenter or editor), and who has joined. People in a shared build see your name next to what you add. While sign-up is by invitation, we also keep the list of email addresses allowed to sign up.
- Plans and usage: your plan, how much AI credit each run used, and, if you pay, the customer and subscription ids our payment provider gives us. Card details go to the payment provider, never to us.
- Server logs: our host keeps standard request logs (IP address, time, page) for a short time to keep the service running and secure.
- Visits to our public pages: if analytics is on for you (see cookies), Google Analytics records which of the home page, this policy and the terms you view and how you use them (such as how far you scroll), the site that sent you there, your device and browser, and your rough location, which Google works out from your IP address without storing the address. It never runs in the app.
We don’t use advertising trackers, and we don’t sell or rent your personal information.
How we use it
- to sign you in, and to keep your library private to you and each build to the people you share it with;
- to store, show and edit your schematics, and to export the files you download;
- to run the AI builders you ask for, and to count the credit they use;
- to bill paid plans;
- to send the emails the service needs, such as confirming your email address and resetting your password;
- to prevent abuse, fix problems and answer you when you write to us;
- to see which parts of our public pages help people.
AI builders
When you ask an AI builder for a design, we send the AI model the part of your schematic it needs (the work area and the blocks around it), your messages, your marks and any pictures you attach. The models are run by AI providers through a gateway (listed below). We send only what the run needs. We use AI providers only under zero data retention terms: they process what we send to answer the run, don’t keep it afterwards, and don’t use it to train their models.
Who helps us run it
These providers process data for us, only to run the service:
- Vercel: hosting, and the AI Gateway that reaches the AI models;
- AI model providers reached through that gateway, for the runs you ask for;
- Neon: the database with your account and schematics;
- Cloudflare R2: storage for pictures;
- Resend: email delivery;
- Stripe: payments for paid plans;
- Google: sign-in with Google, if you choose it; and Google Analytics, to count visits to the public pages when analytics is on for you. We have turned off its advertising features, and Google signals.
If we change providers, we will update this list. We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect people from harm.
Cookies
We use the cookies sign-in needs. On the public pages only, Google Analytics can also set cookies (_ga and _ga_ followed by our ID) that tell repeat visits apart, for up to 13 months. There are no advertising cookies.
In the EU, the rest of the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, we ask first, and analytics runs only if you allow it. Elsewhere it is on unless you turn it off, or your browser sends Global Privacy Control. Wherever you are, you can change your answer at any time under “Cookie settings” at the bottom of any public page; turning analytics off deletes its cookies. Your browser keeps your answer, so we don’t ask again for 13 months.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and library until you delete them. Deleting a schematic deletes its versions and pictures. Deleting your account in Settings deletes it and everything in it at once, and cancels any paid plan; or write to support@minetecture.app and we will do it within 30 days. Backups age out on their own schedule after that. Google Analytics keeps the details of each visit for 2 months, and what it knows about a returning visitor for 14 months; the totals in its reports don’t identify anyone.
Your choices and rights
You can see, change, download and delete your schematics, see where you are signed in, and delete your account in the app at any time. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to ask for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, or to object to how we use it, and to complain to your data protection authority. Write to support@minetecture.app and we will answer within 30 days. You can turn analytics off at any time under “Cookie settings”.
Children
Minetecture is not for children under 13, or under the minimum age for using online services without a parent’s consent where you live. If you believe a child has given us personal information, write to us and we will delete it.
Security
Data travels over HTTPS, passwords are stored only as hashes, pictures sit in a private bucket served only to their owner, and uploaded files are checked before we read them. No service is perfectly secure, so keep your own copies of builds that matter to you.
Where data is processed
We are based in the United States, and our providers may process data there and in other countries. Where the law requires it, we rely on safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above, and for important changes we will tell you in the app or by email before they apply.
